"心" – Heart

This piece was commissioned for the main conference room of a client’s office, written on a 140 x 140 cm sheet of paper. The character "心" (Heart) was chosen as a symbol of inner strength and authenticity.
Created with the hope that it would uplift and energize the team even in the face of a challenging market, this work serves as a powerful reminder: every action, every creation, every decision — when it comes from a true and honest heart — carries real impact.
Showfu wrote this piece with the intention of grounding the space in sincerity, and to inspire those who see it to reconnect with their purpose and passion.
"愛" – Love (Wall Mural)
This calligraphy piece was written directly onto the wall of a client’s interior space upon their request. The character "愛" (Love) was chosen to reflect their wish to approach both work and personal life with a spirit of love, care, and wholeheartedness.
Showfu resonated deeply with this sentiment. Into each stroke, passion and love were poured — not only for calligraphy, but for life itself. The work stands as a reminder that when we act with love, everything around us transforms with meaning and vitality.
岩 Rock

This work was commissioned to mark the opening of a new chapter.
The character "岩" — rock was chosen, inspired by a well-known saying that speaks of how the true strength of an organization lies not in its structures, but in its people — their trust, unity, and the harmony created when each individual stands in the right place.
From this philosophy, 岩 embodies a presence that is grounded and unwavering. A symbol of resilience, shaped by strong human bonds, standing firm through any challenge. It also carries a quiet wish for safe and steady journeys, even through uncertain and turbulent seas.
In creating this piece, I held the image of a rock standing resolutely amid powerful waves — unmoved, enduring, and present.
日日是好日 Everyday is a good day

This piece was created for the entrance of Ichigoichie, a Michelin-listed Japanese kappo restaurant in Singapore.
The character "日日是好日" — “Every day is a good day” was chosen as a quiet affirmation of presence and appreciation for each moment.
What made this work particularly meaningful was the intention to approach the calligraphy in a more painterly way — allowing for greater freedom, movement, and expression beyond traditional form.
It is an honour to have this piece placed at the entrance of a space that embodies refinement, thoughtfulness, and a spirit of continuous creation.
勇 Courage

Commissioned by a client inspired by the book The Courage to Be Disliked, this work expresses the character "勇" (Courage). It was chosen as a symbol of embracing change and stepping forward with strength.
Showfu created this piece as a reminder that even in the midst of life’s shifting seasons, we can choose to stand tall, breathe deep, and step into the unknown with courage.
愛 Love

This commissioned piece unites the character "愛" (Love) with the form of a circle.
The character 愛 is made of three parts:
• 旡 — a person turning their head
• 心 — the heart
• 夂 — a foot in motion
Together, they evoke the feeling of moving forward slowly yet wanting to turn back — a state of care, reflection, and longing that lies at the essence of love. The circle embraces this with the symbolism of integrity, infinity, and eternity — a return beyond time and space. In Zen Buddhism, it also represents emptiness and the universe.
Showfu created this work with the wish that it will carry its spirit wherever life takes its owner, filling each space with warmth and meaning.
稚 Innocence
Paper size H50 x W50 cm
I was commissioned to write the character "稚" (immaturity/innocence) by a teacher who is deeply devoted to nurturing young minds. He once shared with me, “Teaching is always a balance between guiding immaturity and cultivating innocence and the joy of life.”

I was truly moved by his philosophy and the care he brings to his work. It was an honour to create this piece for someone who sees beauty in growth, potential, and the delicate art of teaching.
